The Museum of the Works of Guido Calori was established as a Foundation on 28 October 2002 and formally recognised on 14 July 2003. It was created by the artist’s heirs to promote the knowledge and diffusion of an important artistic and cultural asset.

The Foundation plans to enlarge the area dedicated to the Museum and the artistic and cultural promotional activities. The chosen formula is that of a ‘participatory foundation’, a modern and versatile means of managing cultural institutions and putting them to the best use. This participatory status will allow for various levels of membership, private and public, for single initiatives or on a permanent basis. Official bodies in Umbria have already shown keen interest in the initiatives realised so far.
